Copycat Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme: what the finished dish looks like

📸 What it should look like

A large golden-brown hexagon with crisp sear marks on both sides, the tortilla pleats folded into a tight seal at the edges and the center slightly puffed from the tostada inside.

Use this description as a visual checklist while you cook, if yours looks close, you nailed it.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 4 tostada shells
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • Butter or oil, for grilling

Instructions

  1. 1

Brown the beef, then add taco seasoning and 2/3 cup water. Simmer until thickened.

  2. 2

Lay out a tortilla and build in layers: nacho cheese, beef, tostada shell, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, cheddar.

  3. 3

Fold the edges of the tortilla toward the center, pleating as you go, to seal the crunchwrap.

  4. 4

Grill seam-side down in a buttered skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.

💡 Pro tip

Press down firmly while grilling to keep the folds sealed: a spatula works, but a burger press is even better.
